From the educational network surrounding Tygron, we share the accumulated experience, so you can immediately benefit from what already works.
The Tygron Edu Day brings together teachers, educational institutions and researchers to exchange knowledge, skills, experiences and best practices. Central is the question of how education and practice can reinforce each other around social and spatial issues.
The day consists of an accessible morning program for teachers orienting themselves on digital twins and High Performance GIS in education, followed by an in-depth afternoon program. There is plenty of room for discussion, exchange and collaboration between teachers who already have experience and teachers who want to explore how these developments fit within their education.

Erik Dietvorst and Max Visser – HAS green academy
Interactive workshop for teachers who want to explore how digital twins, GIS, and environmental simulations can be integrated within education.
Erik and Max share their experiences from higher education as well as from practical courses for professionals from municipalities and provinces. They show how they teach these themes, which teaching methods work well, and what lesson materials are already available and reusable.

Anouk Berendsen-Sloot (Lecturer in Land and Water Management at Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences).
How do you effectively implement a professional environment like Tygron in higher education? Anouk shows how students within the Water Management and Hydrology programs work on current issues from governments and water boards.
During this session, there will be plenty of room for discussion on didactic approach, student guidance, collaboration with external clients, and the value of realistic cases in education.

Jonathan van Ekris (Climate Adaptation Advisor at BOOT Advies).
What do consultancies expect from future professionals? Jonathan talks about how Tygron is used within climate adaptation and water projects and what skills organizations like BOOT Advies look for in graduates. He also discusses the collaboration between BOOT and Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences, where guest lectures, practical cases, and guidance contribute to a better connection between education and the labor market.
The session offers insight into how educational institutions and companies can strengthen each other in training professionals who are immediately deployable in practice.
